I drove the 2 1/2 hours to Detroit and went to West Coast Wednesday. When I first got there, I looked around the wide floorspace at a beginner class in session. It's sad but true, there are no West Coast Swing dancers in Michigan, or at least not in Grand Rapids. I have gone to several dance venues and have yet to meet more than two or three young people. Indy Swing Classic - 2008

I went to the Indy Swing Classic in Indianapolis, IN this past weekend. It was a very small dance comp, but still a lot of fun. I did my normal social-dance-until-4-or-5-AM thing. This weekend at Mad Jam (the dance comp in D.C.) I danced in the newcomer division of the West Coast Swing Pro-Am. I won 1st place gold!! :) Below is a video of the Pro-Am.
