I'm In Michigan Now

Sorry for the lack of updates. So here's my life in a nutshell since my last update: "Help me out! I'm in a nutshell!" Just kidding. So I graduated from UK with a bachelor's in Linguistics. The graduation ceremony was at Rupp Arena just like when I graduated Tates Creek High School. Then on May 22nd I quit eLink after 5 years of working there. I miss all those guys over there at THE Lexington web design company. That one was for you, Don. ;) Then I went to USA Grand Nationals that weekend and social dance my bootie off. This was the first dance comp that I have ever been to that I didn't compete in. But I social danced like it was going out of style! Basically danced each night from 12AM-6AM non-stop. It was amazing.

Now I am in Grand Rapids, MI working as in intern for XXXCHURCH.COM. XXXCHURCH is an organization that helps people who are in pornography and want to get out of it by providing the resources they need to do so. It's pretty awesome. They have two cars called "the Porn Mobiles" that have all these decals on them that say "XXXCHURCH.COM - The #1 Christian Porn Site" and "A porn site for the whole family". Of course, XXXCHURCH.com isn't really a porn site, but more of an anti-porn site. Needless to say, people give the Porn Mobiles strange looks when you are cruising through town. I got to drive one of them when I took Brandon to the airport.

Last night I went to a place called "Social Dance Studio" and had a great time doing some social dancing for the first time since USA Grand Nationals. I was in my "meet new people" mode and said hi to almost everyone and danced with most of the ladies. I meet some cool people and left with 3 numbers. haha! One of said numbers was of an older lady who invited me to a bar-b-q and dance at some guy's house who had recently renovated his basement into a dance floor. I told her that I would go and a few minutes later a younger guy came up to me and said, "So, you're going to the widow banquet tomorrow?" Wow. So I'm about to go get my bump-and-grind on with some widows tonight. Just kidding. But there will be some good food and some West Coast Swing hopefully.
